What information do we collect?
When you sign up
We ask for basic details to set up your account — your name, email address, password, and your restaurant or business name. That's it.
When you use the app
As you use SkillyPOS day to day, the app stores the information you add — things like your menu, orders, payments, tables, staff, customers, and inventory. This is your business data, and it belongs to you.
Automatically
Like most apps, we collect some basic technical information in the background — such as which pages you visit and when, and what type of device you're using. This helps us keep the app working smoothly and fix any problems quickly.
How do we use your information?
We use your information only to run the service you signed up for:
- To let you log in securely and keep your account safe
- To save and show your orders, menu, customers, and reports
- To manage your subscription and billing
- To send you important account-related messages (like a password reset)
- To help you if you contact our support team
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to anyone. Ever.
Is your data kept separate from other businesses?
Yes, completely. Every business on SkillyPOS has its own private space. Your orders, menus, customers, and staff information are never visible to any other business using the app — not even us, unless you ask for support.
Where is your data stored?
Your data is stored securely on cloud servers. All information is encrypted — meaning it is scrambled and protected both when it travels over the internet and when it is sitting on our servers. Think of it like a locked safe that only you have the key to.
How long do we keep your data?
- While your subscription is active, all your data is kept safely
- If your trial ends or you cancel, we keep your data for 30 days so you can come back and pick up where you left off
- After 30 days with no active subscription, your data is permanently deleted
- You can also ask us to delete your data at any time — just send us a message
Do we use cookies?
We only use cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use any advertising cookies or tracking cookies that follow you around the internet.
Do we share your information with anyone?
We only share your information in these limited situations:
- With the companies we use to run our servers and keep the app online (they are only allowed to use your data to provide those services to us)
- With payment services, if you use card or UPI payments through the app
- If we are required to by Indian law or a court order
That's it. No marketing companies, no data brokers, no third parties beyond what's listed above.
Your rights
You are always in control of your data. You can:
- See what data we have about you — just ask
- Correct any wrong information from your account settings
- Download your business data (orders, reports, etc.) from inside the app
- Delete your account and all your data — contact us and we will take care of it
Keeping your account safe
We protect your account with secure login and encrypted passwords. You can help keep your account safe by using a strong password and not sharing it with people outside your team. If you ever think someone else has access to your account, contact us right away.
Changes to this policy
If we ever make changes to this policy, we will let you know by email or through a notice inside the app before the changes come into effect. We will always keep this page updated with the latest version.
